REVIEW: Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream

Weeeeeeeeeee! Hello all!

Having a second blog entry in a month is such a big accomplishment for me this 2017. ☝

I just had my 10-day vacation and I went on a total sloth mode. I ate, slept and rarely moved when I was at home. Also, I wasn't able to shave the hair from my legs that when I saw it the night before returning to work, I was horrified! My legs  had a lot of hair that is around 1cm long. Also, I do not have any available razor that night. The stores are already closed.

Good thing I when I checked the cabinet where I keep all my hoarded skin care / korean products, I was able to stumble on Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream. I purchased this a long time ago and I almost forgot that I have this product.

So today, I'll be giving a short review on Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream. As early as now, I want to apologize to those who would be offended with my hairy leg 😅😛 hahaha!

Here we go!

Product NameMissha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream

Price: I forgot the price. Sorry :(

Product Description and What it promises:

Here's a detailed product description from  Missha's official US site. I also just found out there there are two types of Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream, the pink one (for normal skin) and the green one (for sensitive skin). I'll be doing a review for the green one (for sensitive skin).

It comes in plastic box with lots of Korean characters. Sorry - no English translation so I had to look up on the internet how to use the product.

Any one reads Hangul??

Just a wild guess - I think this part where the ingredients is listed.

As what it promises, Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream removes hair fast, mild (which means hypoallergenic), smells good, washable, and moisturizing.

⭐What's inside?
1. Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream
2. Sponge

The 100g product comes in a tube container. Quite easy to use because you just squeeze the soft plastic bottle to get the cream.

It comes with a sponge. You need to wet the sponge before using because it's literally hard.

The texture of Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream is similar to your regular lotion and has a hint of green. Here's the downside - you know the smell of hair salons? It smells exactly like the kind of chemical they use in hair salons! 😵😝😝😝😝

✐How to use:
Based on the website, this is how you use the product:

✐How did I use this?
Since it smells like the kind of chemical they use in hair salons, I opted to use a thin layer of the cream. Here's the photo of my (ugly)hairy, leg:

I waited for 3 minutes to make sure I don't burn my skin. This is the part were I should have done a skin test. I was afraid to apply the cream liberally because I was so afraid I might burn my skin or I might have an allergic reaction.

✐ The Result:
After 3 minutes, I immediately got the sponge to wipe of the cream. UNFORTUNATELY, it did not deliver the result that I wanted.

Still a lot of visible hair

I didn't experience any burning sensation and my skin didn't look red and irritated so decided to add another layer of the cream and waited for another 3 minutes. This time, more strands of hair were removed.

Way much better compared to the first try

👍 What I love about Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream:
1. It's easy to use - just put on the cream, let it stay for a few minutes and wipe it off with a sponge.
2. Mild? Yes it is. I did not feel any tingling sensation when I was using the product. My skin did not turn red or irritated after using.
3. Moisturizing? Yes, my skin felt smooth after washing the cream away.

💗💗💗

👎 What I do not like
1. Speedy? The instructions says to wait for 2-3 minutes before wiping the cream off with the sponge, however, when I did this, not all of the strands of hair was removed. I had to apply another layer of cream and wait for another 3 minutes so that's a total of 6 minutes.

2. Aromatic? NOPE. It does not smell good. It actually smells like ammonia (or the chemicals being used when you rebond or color your hair) with a very slight hint of aloe. Jeez. I was so afraid to apply the cream on my skin.

3. Rinsable? Yes, it's but it was no easy to rinse off. I felt like there were still some part of the cream on my legs even if I've already washed it with water and mild soap.

4. It did not totally completely remove all the strands of hair on my legs.

Overall Thoughts: Missha In Shower Comfort Hair Removal Cream has it's own hits and misses. Though it's easy to use, mild and moisturizing, it was still not that good enough to remove all the hair on my legs. The big turn-off for me was the smell. Will I repurchase? Nah! I'll stick to my good old razor blade for now.
