Last 2016, instead of buying BB Creams and lippies, I opted to focus on skin care products like toners, serums, ampoules, and moisturizers this year.
Today, I'll be doing a quick review on Yezihu Red Ginseng Skin Care Set. There are a lot of online sellers (from the Philippines) selling this product but I haven't read any reviews about this skin care set.

Like what I've mentioned, I am falling in love with skin care sets and they've been my addiction last 2016. I've bought Yezihu Red Ginseng Skin Care Set four months ago and I've been using it as my night time skin care routine together with Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence and Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence.

Since Yezihu Red Ginseng Skin Care Set contains ginseng extract, I expect that there will be a strong herb-like scent in all the products and oh boy! my guess was right.
Yezihu Red Ginseng Toner has a slightly brownish color and water-like consistency. It
also has this herb-like, ginseng scent that I think some might not like.

How to use:
I use this toner after double cleansing at night. I apply the toner on a ball of cotton and gently dab it on my face, neck and ears.
👍 What I love about this toner:
1. The toner does give a refreshing feel and does not feel dry after using. Also, it does not leave any sticky feeling.
2. I did not experience any break outs.
3. It removes traces of dirt and make up that were not removed even after double cleansing.

👎 What I do not like:
1. The heavy, herb-like, ginseng scent. Yes, it's a little strong for my liking that my husband could smell it. The only good thing is that the scent disappears once the toner is dry.
Will buy again? Yes - as long as it's together with the set. 😃

Let's all admit that Korean skin care routine is a little bit confusing and overwhelming for most people like me. I also got overwhelmed by the Korean skin care products I never knew existed. One of those products was the emulsion. Back then, the term 'emulsion' means 'a mixture of two or more liquids that are unmixable' based on my vocabulary.
Now, emulsion has another definition for me. Emulsions are the products that I use after applying serum / ampoule. I've decided to add this step to my skin care routine and it was worth all the effort putting it at night.
Yezihu Red Ginseng Emulsion also comes in a heavy, red and gold glass bottle. As per packaging, it also contains 150ml of the product.
✐Another quick side note: Here's the sample version of Yezihu Ginseng Emulsion in 30ml.
The consistency is a little bit thinner compared to moisturizer but a little bit thicker compared to serums / ampoules. And again, this one has a stronger herb-like, ginseng scent compared to the Yezihu Ginseng Toner. Some might not like the strong scent of this emulsion.

Thanks to Google, I've learned how to use emulsions. ✌
Once the ampoule/serum is completely dry, that's the time I apply the emulsion. A little goes a long way since the consistency of the emulsion is thinner than our regular moisturizer.
👍 What I love about this emulsion:
1. Once it completely dries, it does not leave any sticky feeling on the face.
2. My skin feels supple and soft in the morning :)
3. It did not give me any break-outs which is a two thumbs up for me. Most emulsion that I've tried have left me with zits maybe because it clogged my pores but this one is just amazing.
4. My skin feels moisturized but not too oily.

👎 What I do not like:
The scent. It's way too strong for some. I'm just glad I got used to it but my husband isn't.
Will buy again? Yes - and again, as long as it's together with the set. 😃
Yezihu Ginseng Cream
Before, I thought that moisturizer/cream is the last step of Korean skin care routine but nooooo! The last step is the sleeping masks which you put on overnight. I'll talk about it maybe on my next entry.
Yezihu Red Ginseng Moisturizer
The moisturizer comes in an elegant 'old' looking glass jar. I say it's 'old' looking because it reminds me of my mother's moisturizer few years back. 😀
The moisturizer has a thick consistency. The same thing with Yezihu Toner and Emulsion, this moisturizer has a strong herb-like ginseng scent.
⭐What it promises:
Based on the website, it promises the following:
*To be honest, I don't exactly understand the some of the terms that were used with the description - example, what is 'hazard oxygen'?
How to use:
I use this after the emulsion has dried. I just dab a little bit of the cream on my forehead, cheeks and chin and spread it to my face by gentle tapping.
I do not religiously use this cream every night because the emulsion takes some time to completely dry. Then I feel like the emulsion is already enough so I sometimes skip using this cream at night.
👍 What I love about this cream:
1. It did not give me any breakouts.
2. It really moisturizes my skin. My skin feels supple in the morning. :)

1. Has a thick consistency that it is quite difficult to spread on skin.

Overall Thoughts:YEZIHU Red Ginseng Skin Care set is definitely a good buy for those who are in a tight budget but are looking for a complete skin care set. I was able to get all the toner, emulsion, and cream for a good price! Though some might not tolerate the strong scent of the whole skin care set.
After four months of using the products I didn't notice any 'anti-wrinkle' or 'anti-aging' effects from using this product but my skin is brighter, moisturized and I had less breakouts. I owe it the using the complete Yezihu Ginseng Skincare set, Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence and Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence religiously for four (or five) months.
I wished I've started taking care of my skin years ago when I was younger but what heck, it's not yet too late. This 2017, I'll focus more on skin care products but of course, I cannot promise not to buy BB creams and lippies :)
