REVIEW: Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner, Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence, and Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule

Hello!
Few more days left before 2017 and I would like to blog some of the amazing items I had this 2016. I am just so glad to have time to sit in front of the computer to blog :)

I finally got over my addiction to lipsticks and lip tints. I just realised that I only needed few shades that matches my skin tone. But unfortunately, I developed a new addiction to skin care products. For this year, I bought 3 sets of skin care products and oh boy! they are quite expensive.

Maybe because I am already going to 30 next year that I have decided to take care of my skin more. It's a little bit too late because I should've started when I was in my early 20's but unfortunately, I wasn't earning enough that time to afford the luxury of creams, serums, toners and all. Hahaha!

I've also decided this 2016 to strictly follow the famous '10-step Korean Skincare Routine'. I tried doing it last 2015 but I felt it was so time-consuming and I felt so lazy that I decided to stop. But I was persistent to try this skin care routine this year that I bought skincare sets, essences, and creams.

This year, I got the Missha Time Revolution Best Seller Special Set II and it was a great buy. πŸ‘

It's a great buy because I was able to purchase this set PhP 3,640.00. If I'll be buying them all separately, I think I would be spending around PhP 6,000.00 and I can't afford that.

Well anyways, I'll be doing a quick review of Missha Time Revolution Clear TonerMissha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule and Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence. So far, I am loving these three. :)

*By the way, sorry for filling up this entry with a lot of special characters. I didn't realize that they look so cute!* ✌

Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner

Let's go first with Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner. I've just decided to include this in my review so I immediately took a quick photo. :) Note that this toner is not part of the Missha Time Revolution Best Seller Special Set II. I bought this separately.

Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner is a clear and scentless toner. It comes in a 250 ml clear plastic bottle and this baby goes a long way.

Again, there is no English translation for the description/instructions/ingredients at the back part of the bottle.

I use Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner as part of my morning skin care routine for the past four months. I use this toner in the morning because it has a water-like consistency and it gets easily absorbed by the skin. I also love using this in the morning because I do not have to wait for a long time for it to dry. It does not leave any sticky feeling after using. My skin feels refreshed and moisturized at the same time. I have a very oily, acne-prone skin but this toner keeps my skin moisturized without making it too oily.

How to use
After double cleansing (cold cream or cleansing cream and facial cleanser), I pat my face with a towel and wait for it to completely dry. Then I apply Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner using a cotton ball. (in short, I use this like any other toner ^^). But like what I said, I use this in the morning. I use a different toner at night.

What I love about this toner:πŸ‘
1. Gets absorbed by the skin easily. No need to wait too much. Perfect for those who are running late for work but still needs to finish their morning skin care routine.
2. No irritating or harsh scent. I don't know but I don't smell anything from this toner.
3. Keeps my face moisturized :)
4. It did not give me any break-outs/zits. --> This part is very important for me because though I should've graduated from puberty, I still get zits (But I am so glad my skin didn't break out. :)

What I do not like: πŸ‘Ž
1. It's expensive. I bought this online (pre-order) for 600++. Way too pricey for a toner but since this one works for me, I have no choice but to stick to it.

Will buy again? Definitely! After four months of using this product, I noticed that my face looks brighter and moisturized.

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence

Let's now go with Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence.

Before, I though that toners and essences are just the same but NOPE, they are totally different things. Toners are what we use to prep the skin for other skin care products that we would use. Toners also removes traces of make up residues or dirt missed by cleansers. On the other hand, essences contains ingredients that will help hydrate, moisturize, and regenerate skin (as claimed by other essences). It's also used to prep your skin for your next skin care routine (my next skin care routine after the essence is the serum and/or ampoule.

I have tried few essences already but this one is the best!

This baby comes in a 150ml thick, frosted, translucent, glass bottle and has a "luxurious" feel. I'm always careful whenever I use this because I am afraid I might drop the bottle. The bottle actually feels a bit heavy.

Another quick side note - I want to show you how cute the 10ml bottle that was included in the set :) I use this whenever I travel and I feel a little heart broken now it's almost gone.

Look how cute this is!

And actually, it looks like your ordinary toner minus the strong alcohol scent. It has this very faint herb-yeast-like scent but it's almost impossible to detect unless you take time to scrutinize the scent. It's also watery and quite similar to the consistency of your usual toners.

How to use
I use this after the toner. Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence is part of my morning and night skin care routine.

πŸ’‘Just a tip: I pour a small amount on my clean hands and dab the essence on my face and neck. I find this practical rather than using a cotton pad or cotton ball wherein the essence is just absorbed by the cotton. Just make sure your hands a squeaky clean. A little amount goes a long way.

What I love:πŸ‘
1. It's NOT sticky on the face. I've tried some essences before and they feel sticky and takes time before it's completely absorbed by the skin.
2. Does not have a strong scent.
3. I use this in the morning as my moisturizer because it's not sticky and it dries completely. I just use BB cream as my base and I noticed that my face looks dewy in a nice kind of way - not too oily.
4. Clears redness on my pimples. I still do get a lot of zits most especially if my period is coming (oh hormones!!). After four months of continuously using this both morning and night, I noticed that my zits are not that red compared before. One happy kid here!

What I do not like: πŸ‘Ž
None! This one is the perfect essence for me.

Will buy again? Definitely! It's a bit expensive but it's worth buying. The search for the perfect essence is done and over. Finally.

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule
I have heard a lot of rave reviews about this product few years back and my hands were itching to try this ever since. The 50ml ampoule itself costs around PhP 1,500 - PhP 1,800 online that's why it took me time before I got my hands on this baby.

Packaging:
Love the feel of the purple glass bottle. It looks and definitely feels elegant.

This one is in 50 ml. Unfortunately, there's no English translation / instructions written at the back part of the bottle.

*Another quick side note - I want to show you how cute the 10ml bottle that was included in the set :)

What I really enjoyed was the dropper. I am used to using skincare products that comes with a pump but this one is way cooler for me. I get to control the amount of the product that I need to use.

The ampoule is yellowish-brown color and has a slighty thicker consistency compared to the essence. It's easy to spread however, it is a little sticky. The good news is that once it gets absorbed by the skin, the stickiness wears off. Unfortunately, it takes some time before it completely dries and gets absorbed by the skin.

It has a barely noticeable herb-like scent but it doesn't bother me that much because the scent disappears once you have applied to your face.

How to use
Once the essence has been completely absorbed my by skin (which means it's completely dry), I dab a few drops on my face and wait for it to dry. Though it says in the bottle that this is a 'Day and Night Care', I only use  Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule at night because it takes time for it to dry.

πŸ’‘Just a tip: This ampoule is highly concentrated so a little goes a long way. One drop for your forehead, one drop each for your cheeks and another drop for your chin and neck (a total of four drops).

What I love:πŸ‘
1. My skin looks brighter and refreshed in the morning.
2. It somehow minimized my pores. I already stopped using a primer 😊
3. Lesser zits and blackheads.
4. My skin is less oilier. (WOOOHOOO!)
5. A little goes a long way. I just need few drops for my face and neck.
6. The packaging looks awesome. Just be careful not to drop the bottle.

What I do not like: πŸ‘Ž
1. To be honest, I got like 2-3 "minor" zits on my 2nd week of using this ampoule. I was almost about to give up on using this because I got depressed having pimples and this ampoule is waaaaay too expensive not too use The only good thing was that my zits were not too red. On my third week, I noticed that I my zits disappear and my face looked brighter. I guess my face was just adjusting to this new kind of skin care routine.

2. Didn't notice any anti-aging stuff. Fine lines still there. For sure this ampoule can be used to 'slow down' (not stop) the fine lines and aging but it's more on the 'preventive' aspect. Maybe you can share your thoughts about this?

Other than that, everything's perfect.

Will buy again? YES. YES. YES.

Overall thoughts
I love the Missha Time Revolution Line. After four months of using, I have noticed the changes on my skin -
1. My face is less oily, more moisturized and gives me that dewy, clean look.
2. I just get a pimple or two whenever I have my period but my pimples never get that red and it disappears after 2-3 days.
3. My face looks softer and brighter.
4. My skin looks better in the morning.

Would I repurchase these babies? Yes! I consider them now as my staple products for skin care. πŸ‘πŸ‘
