Hello!
Time flies so fast. It's already December and next thing we know, it's already January 2014. I've been looking back at my posts this year and I've noticed that I did not post a lot of reviews. :(

This year was a stressful but blessed year for me (in terms of my career). I've been promoted but along with that promotion comes a handful of stress. Jeez!

I promise to write more reviews next year ^^

*******************************************

I just tried one facial mask from ETUDE HOUSE and I wanna share my experience with.

PRODUCT NAME: Etude House RED GINSENG MASK

REVIEW: TOKYO LOVE SOAP (Original)

**Note: This is a late post. I was supposed to upload this review two months ago but I was soooooooo busy with my work. Sorry.

*****************************************************************

Okay. I admit. I am a sucker for products which has a "whitening effect" on the skin.
Aside from "anti-acne" products, I am also fond of "whitening products". I do have personal reasons why but it'll take another blog for me to tell you guys.

That's a confession. :(

I have to blurt that secret out because I'll be doing a review for TOKYO LOVE SOAP

Here's the story.

I've never heard of this soap until a friend of mine who works in Japan told me she was selling a whitening soap named TOKYO LOVE SOAP.
I really do not have any idea what this is but she told me it's already popular and known to be very very effective.

I searched for this and there aren't a lot of (detailed) reviews about this product. But I found before and after photos which really looked credible and real.

The before and after photos would really convince you to BUY this soap. I was REALLY HESITANT to buy TOKYO LOVE SOAP because I have to shell out PhP 800 for one soap!

Yes, it's 800 Philippine pesos

Jeez! I still bought 2 soaps making me shell out PhP 1600 for two soaps! That's like 2 BB creams already! :(

Anyways, I, myself, have confirmed that I am a sucker for whitening products.

The Xenical Experience: My Horror Story

I just got 'depressed' about my weight that I had to write something about it in my Tumblr blog. (*You can take time to read it so that you can have an idea where I'm coming from.)

I felt like I had to do something about the abrupt and drastic change in my weight so I decided to take XENICAL. I think most of us have already heard about this. According to the website

XENICAL is a prescription medication that can help considerably overweight people lose weight and keep it off.
Alright, MY BAD. It's a prescription medication but I still bought it without consulting the doctor. I bought it from a local drugstore and they didn't ask for a prescription.

I bought four capsules.

Day 1: I took the first capsule last Thursday (September 19) at around 10pm.

Day 2:  Fats were naturally coming out of my body. I experienced gas + leaky, oily bowel movements (oops. sorry for the description, I am trying to make this sound in a not-so-gross way). It was OKAY since I can still hold my bowel movement until I reach the bathroom.

I took the second capsule also at around 10pm.

Day 3: This is were my problem sets in. I could not control my leaky and oily bowel movement. Oh my goodness. Although I can see the fats coming out of my body, I can't do my normal activities for the day because I have to go the bathroom every hour.

I did not take the capsule this time.

REVIEW: HOLIKA HOLIKA Pig-nose Clear Blackhead Cleansing Sugar Scrub

Oh! I can feel CHRISTMAS! It's already SEPTEMBER! (I live in the Philippines and here, Christmas Season do start in SEPTEMBER... ^_^ )

Here's my first review for this month - HOLIKA KOLIKA Pig-nose Clear Blackhead Cleansing Sugar Scrub

***********************************************

Aside from pimples, I also have a big problem with blackheads and whiteheads.
Argh!
I'm still jumping into different products and still looking for the one that can really really minimize or remove these nasty blackheads and whiteheads.

Last year, I bought Holika Holika PIG-NOSE CLEAR BLACKHEAD Deep Cleansing Oil Balm (click the name so you can check out my previous blog about this) and HOLIKA HOLIKA Pig-nose Clear Blackhead Cleansing Sugar Scrub from Han Ryu. I already made review with the former so I'll be doing a review for the latter. :) [my goodness! i did not understand what i just wrote! hahahahahaha!]

REVIEW: MIZON Snail Repair Blemish Balm

Here I am again for another BB cream review :)
I stopped buying new sets of BB cream these days because aside from the fact that they are a bit expensive, I do not have time to finish them all. Some of them are still waiting to be opened.
Here's one of the BB creams that has been staying on my shelf for some time so I decided to open it last week. :)

My first ever MIZON BB Cream^_^

*It's a BB Cream :)

REVIEW: THE FACE SHOP Charcoal Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam

Yipeeee! I am again doing another review for this month.
*I just hope I can continue on doing reviews regularly ^_^

I bought a 4 facial foams last month. 3 of them from The Face Shop.
The Face Shop Whitening Rice Water, Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam, The Face Shop Charcoal Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam and The Face Shop Acne Solution Cleansing

Being a sucker for anything that "prevents pimples and keeps oily skin at bay", I've decided to purchase these babies.

Today, I'll do a quick review of THE FACE SHOP Charcoal Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam

PRODUCTTHE FACE SHOP Charcoal Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam
Content: 170 ml / 5.74 fl. oz.
Price: PhP 331 (from Han Ryu

Description:
Here's what the description in the bottle says:
Deep-cleansing facial foam with Black Formula containing charcoal thoroughly cleanses impurities, makeups residue and sebum inside pores with its maximum absorption and rich foam.
Directions for use:
Dispense an adequate amount and lather fully with water. Massage gently onto the entire face and rinse thoroughly with clean water

I just love that this product has an English translation for the description, directions for use and even the ingredients.

Compared to most facial foams/wash, this one's darker (it should be because it says CHARCOAL on the label).
It contains small 'beads' which I think is for the 'exfoliating' part or just to remove dirt.

It really does not contain a lot of 'beads' so it won't really irritate or hurt your skin once you use it.

SCENT: When I first tried this one, I felt a bit nostalgic. I dunno but the scent really reminds of something. It took me days to realize that it smells like the original POND's Facial Wash! If you grew up during my time, Pond's Facial Wash was like the MOTHER OF ALL FACIAL WASH. Everyone in highschool had a bottle / tube of Pond's Facial Wash and it was like everyone's using it during our lunch breaks. These days, Pond's has different kinds of facial wash/foams to choose from.
I haven't used Pond's for a long time and highschool for me was really FUN so I am so sorry for being so nostalgic. :)

Ooopsie! Sorry for my dry hands. ^_^

Once you lather it, it creates a gentle foam. The scent is not too strong too.

THE TEST
Here's how I do my tests on facial foams/wash.
Since I ALWAYS use BB creams + Foundation / Face Powder, I literally have a second layer of skin that I have to shed off before I sleep.
So I always use facial cream/cleanser to remove those nasty BB Cream + Foundation/Face Powder. A good facial foam/wash for me is when it can remove all those residues without the use of any makeup remover, facial cleansers etc.

Without any use of facial cleansers, makeup remover etc., I used the THE FACE SHOP Charcoal Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam

I used Etude House AC Clinic Daily Toner and here's what I got:

Sorry because the shot is a bit blurry.

Here's my verdict:
1. It is definitely a DEEP CLEANSING FOAM. It removed traces of BB cream and Foundation.

2. Well this one is definitely good for those with 'super' oily skin. After using, your skin will feel a little 'tight' and somehow dry. I dunno what will be the effect for those with dry skin though.

3. Unfortunately, during my first few days of using this, I got breakouts. Not major ones but I had zits. :(  That's for my skin. I guess my skin was still adjusting to the ingredients of this product. I still use this one but I guess this will be my last.

For Deep Cleansing - CHECK!
Removes makeup - CHECK!
Perfect for those who has oily skin - CHECK!
*But since I had breakouts during my first few days of using this, I might pass on this next time :)

REVIEW: THE FACE SHOP Clean Face Acne Solution Foam Cleansing

I am quite stress for the last two months.
My life has been in a drama these past few weeks so I am emotionally stressed. :(
So most of my zits came out and I quite forgot to take care of my zit-prone skin.

Good thing I have a lot of stuff to combat these zits. Aside from BB Cream, I am literally addicted to facial wash. Yeah. You read it right. FACIAL WASH.

I think this addiction all stemmed from my experience in highschool and college (here's another drama). I think I've mentioned before that my acne really lowered down my self-esteem so now that I am working and earning, I do spend a lot with skin care.

Anyways, here's a quick review of my current favorite facial wash: THE FACE SHOP Clean Face Acne Solution Foam Cleansing

Product name: THE FACE SHOP Clean Face Acne Solution Foam Cleansing
(*I felt something is wrong with how they named the product. I think it should be: CLEAN FACE ACNE SOLUTION CLEANSING FOAM. Naah! never mind the name. I am in LOVE with this product - oops!)

Content: 150ml /5.07 fl.oz

Price: PhP 399 (I got this again from Han Ryu)
*** (Okay, lemme clear this again that I am NOT being paid by the seller to promote her online store. I've been buying from her ever since and I always indicate in my blog where I bought my items, whether from Han Ryu or from other stores. It's just that I always buy from her because she is so nice and the products are really affordable)

REVIEW: HOLIKA HOLIKA Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner

Hi! :)
I've mentioned last time that I am learning how to put eye makeup on and I am starting with EYELINERS ^_^

I've bought some eyeliners and I am really amazed with what eyeliners can do!

From this:

To this:

Well, actually it's not much of a difference but I felt that my eyes looked more 'alive' when I put on the eyeliner :)
I think I am starting to love eyeliners now.

Today, I'll do a review for one of the eyeliners I purchased online (got this from Han Ryu
It's from Holika Holika, a Korean brand.

Product Name: HOLIKA HOLIKA Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner 01
Color: Black
Price: PhP 215 (I bet this is much more expensive)

REVIEW: ETUDE HOUSE LIP AND EYE REMOVER

Hello!
I am back again with another review of an Etude House product :)
Aside from BB Cream, I am also a fan of LIP PRODUCTS. Lip stains, lipsticks, lip gloss, lip tint - name it.

I just have on problem with Lip tints and lipstains, sometimes they really stay on your lips for a long time. :(
I am also practicing how to put on eye make-up these days so I had to look for a perfect lip and eye make-up remover.

I got a sample of Etude House Lip and Eye Remover from an online store on Ebay. I actually loved it!

Here's my quick review about this amazing product.

***********************************************

Product Name: Etude House Lip and Eye Remover
(*scary name. I think it should be Lip and Eye Make-up Remover.)
*From Etude House

It comes in a clear plastic bottle.

REVIEW: NATURE REPUBLIC'S SIMPLE MAKING GEL EYE LINER 01 BLACK

Hi there!
It's 1:42 am and I've decided to write something about my recent project.
For the past few months, I've been turning green with envy because my colleagues were all showing their prowess in putting on eye makeup. So I have decided to LEARN the "how's and what's" on applying eye makeup.

Let's go down to memory lane.....
I have problems with eye makeup because when I was in college, I had two eye surgeries because of CHALAZION. According to American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, a chalazion is a bump in the eyelid that is usually about the size of a small pea although it is occasionally smaller or larger. Well in layman's term, it's like a 'pimple' on your eyelid and it happens when a duct (and opening) get blocked. According to my doctor, these ducts can get blocked because of makeup or dirt.
In short, I was traumatized with the two surgeries I had so I never learned how to put eye makeup on.

Back to the present....
I am a LATE-BLOOMER when it comes to eye makeup so please bear with me on this. I am a newbie so I will not do tutorials on how to put eye make up on but I will just give you my review on my VERY FIRST gel eyeliner: NATURE REPUBLIC'S SIMPLE MAKING GEL EYE LINER

LEFT: Nature Republic Simple Making Gel Eye Liner 01 -
RIGHT: Lioele Bubi Bubi Mascara #4

REVIEW: VANEDO BEAUTY FRIENDS MASK

Hello again!
For the nth time, I am so sorry I could not regularly post my reviews :( I've been so busy these days at work.

Anyways, I'll be doing a PART 2 of my review for VANEDO BEAUTY FRIENDS MASK.

Check this site for the PART 1 of my review.
http://theunemployedfish.blogspot.com/2012/10/review-vanedo-beauty-friends-mask-snail.html#.UdR67ztmiSo

(*But I'll still do a complete full review of this product*)

I learned about this brand when I got a freebie from my favorite online shop HAN RYU
I got the #16~SNAIL and I honestly love the result!

THE PRODUCT

*It's a facial mask from Korea.
*Comes in 25 types/variants/kinds.
*One pack = One facial mask.

HOW MUCH?
I bought these for 25pesos each.
(I just edited this today: 07/06/2013. I tried to read the history of in my Facebook messages and I found out that I bought these masks for 25pesos each! not 50pesos. Sorry.)

HOW TO USE?

These are the ones that I've tried so far

COENZYME Q10, POMEGRANATE, SNAIL and EGF

My VERDICT:
I love these masks! These are a must-have for all ladies who are so conscious in looking good every morning.

Why I love them:
*These masks do not have a a strong scent so you will not get irritated while the mask is on.

*These masks do not feel sticky.
* I haven't experience any itchiness or burning sensation while the mask is on.
* I did not experience any break-outs after using these masks!! This is really one of my concerns since I have a pimple-prone skin.

*After applying the mask, I did not feel the changes but the next morning, I noticed the difference.
My skin felt soft and moisturized. It was easy for my to apply makeup because my skin felt supple and smooth.

For the FIRMING effect, I actually haven't noticed that part. I am pretty sure that if I continued using the the product, I would definitely see the difference. :)

Will I buy these? If my wallet says yes, I will definitely get 100pieces of these masks. :)

REVIEW: BAVIPHAT Under My Skin Goodbye Sebum PRIMER

Whoa!
Well hello to me! I've been out for almost a month. (Well not almost, should I say more than a month.)
I've been VERY busy with work these days. I really miss writing reviews and ranting about stuff. I have a lot of items waiting in line to be reviews but it seems I was in a "I ain't got time for that" mode.

Well I am back with a simple review on : BAVIPHAT Secret Recipe Under My Skin Goodbye Sebum Primer (Whew! I hope they were able to think on a shorter name for their product!)

*********************************************************************
I am so addicted to having a "smooth-looking, blemish free" face. I guess that's one of my insecurities since I've suffered years of having acne on my face. I also have problems with oiliness so I am still in search for products that can somehow control oil production.

I am honestly a newbie when it comes to using PRIMERS. So when I found out that primers can actually control oil production and makes make up stay longer, I suddenly had the urge to grab one and here's my first ever PRIMER ;)

Product NameBAVIPHAT Secret Recipe Under My Skin Goodbye Sebum Primer
(*Baviphat is a Korean brand)

How much: Hmmm.. I honestly could not remember! I am so sorry, I got this one on sale from my favorite online shop on Facebook: Han Ryu (click the link/name if you want to be directed to the online shop webpage).

Content: 35ml

Unfortunately, the official website of BAVIPHAT is Korean!
I am so sorry I couldn't give you the official description of the product.

There are the reasons why I bought this primer:
*BAVIPHAT Under My Skin Goodbye Sebum PRIMER promises to control sebum (oil) production.
*Promises to leave your skin a matte-finish (I LOVE MATTE!)
*Minimize enlarge pores (I don't know if it really promises to minimize enlarged pores or if it make the enlarged pores look small).

I found a picture from an online store (http://www.eopenmarket.com/baviphat-under-my-skin-goodbye-sebum-primer-35ml.html?sl=EN

Anyways, here's the actual product:

I promise to write whenever I have time. :)

REVIEW - ASIAN SECRETS Lulur Indonesian Whitening Body Scrub

Happy New Year!
This is a late greeting but better late than never :)

Part of my New Year's resolution is to regularly write for this blog. I know it's nearly close to impossible but I am more determined these days. (Yeah!)

Anyways, here's my second review for the year.

*************************************

I love scrubs. I love body scrubs. If it ain't too harsh to have a body scrub everyday, I would've used all of the body scrubs I know everyday.

I'll be doing a review for Asian Secrets Lulur Indonesian Whitening Body Scrub

Asian Secrets went on a hype I guess last 2011 and 2012. I've tried this one last 2011 but this blog wasn't born yet (or at least the blogger was still an embryo in blogging).

THE PRODUCT:
Name:
Asian Secrets Lulur Indonesian Whitening Body Scrub
I guess its already obvious that this is a body scrub.

Net Content: 135g
Price: PhP130
Available at your local supermarket / stores / Watson's

This is the tub. It doesn't come with a spatula so better use a plastic spoon when you scoop the contents.

REVIEW: Etude House: AC CLINIC DAILY - TONER and GEL LOTION

I've been on a "sabbatical leave" from doing reviews. I was (and still is) busy from work. Argh.

My work is giving me a lot of stress these past few weeks. Not only that, my face has been bombarded with zits! Argh! I hate them.

I usually zap my zits with Emu Oil (I will be doing a separate review for this totally amazing product) but I ran out of stock. I buy my Emu Oil online but I had to think of other things to buy from that online store so I could purchase them all at once (aside form the fact that Emu oil is so expensive, the other 'things' that I am planning to buy from the online store was also expensive so I had to hold that I idea for the meantime).

So I went to my Etude House to check for some immediate solution to ZAP my ZIT.
(This is what I call the ZAP MY ZIT project!)

And here's the haul that I got:
