REVIEW: The Face Shop's Herb Day Cleansing Cream: 5 Combined Cereal

I would do anything to make my face look 'naturally' smooth. I think that's why I love BB creams.   The invention of BB creams is the greatest gift to the cosmetics world (okay, I am exaggerating already . But one thing I hate about BB creams is that they stick to your face, literally. That's why I am continuously searching for anything that will help me remove BB creams, foundations and pressed powders off my face.

Here's one of the products that I have tried and will continue to use.

My sister gave me this: Herb Day Cleansing Cream

I think one of her Korean students gave it to her but she is not a fan of creams. It took me a while before I tried this one. I was quite hesitant because it did not have any instructions what is it or how to even use it. I was kinda lazy to check it out on the internet.

And when I've tried it, I felt in love with it and here's why:

THE PRODUCT
- It's a CLEANSING CREAM by The Face Shop.
- What are cleansing creams: Cleansing cream is a skin care product that washes and moisturizes your skin, getting rid of dirt, sweat, makeup and bacteria. It is usually made from a combination of mineral oil, petrolatum, water and waxes.
-The Face Shop has four types of cleansing creams for this line: Fruits Mix, Aloe, Green Tea and 5 Grains Cereal (5 Combined Cereal). All are applicable for any skin type. I will be doing a review on Herb Day Cleansing Cream - 5 Grains Cereal (5 Combined Cereal)

-Product Description: A cleansing cream which contains five grain extracts is perfect for purifying and softening skin, with mild touch feel (from TheFaceShop).

-Application: Get adequate amount on palms. Massage the face until the make up base gets off. Wipe it out with tissue. Use cleansing foam as the last step (from TheFaceShop).

- It comes in a tub-type container.
-Size: 150 ml
-Price: Uh-oh. I don't have any idea since my sister just gave this to me. :(

- What it looks inside: It's a cream. And it's an oily cream. Well actually I've expected it to be oily since all cleansing creams are made  of mineral oil and wax. Having a super duper oily skin, the idea alone of putting an oily stuff on my face gives me goosebumps.

(From the look of this picture, you can easily guess whether I love it or not.)

THE REAL TEST

-I dunno how others use cold creams or cleansing creams but I do it this way. I do not wash my face before I apply this. I get an ample amount of the product and I massage my face with it. Here is what my face look like after I apply the product.

-It's easy to apply on the face (I guess because it's 'oil'). After massaging, your skin will feel slippery and slimy (yup! the words are right).
- You will notice that there are tiny dirt-like stuff on my face.

-Here's a picture of my hand after I massaged the product on my face. The left photo was taken without flash. The right photo was taken with flash. You can clearly see the white stuff.    I have this wild guess that those were the BB cream, foundation and pressed powder I've used during the day. ^_^

-I use a tissue to wipe the product off my face. And ta-da! Here's the result:

-The first picture was taken without flash.
Look at all the dirt. ;(

- My face still felt oily after I wiped my face. After wiping my face with tissue, I use a facial wash to finally remove the oil and all the remaining dirt.

What can I say
-I love it!
-It doesn't have a strong scent.
-It doesn't irritate my skin. I haven't had any breakouts with this product.
-It doesn't dry my skin. After using this, my skin felt clean without the dry feeling.
-It totally removes all the stuff that should be off my face before I sleep (BB cream, foundation, pressed powder and dirt).

Will I buy this:
-Of COURSE!
-I am almost through with my first tub. I don't have any idea about the price of this item here in the Philippines. I still have to ask my favorite online shop, Han Ryu if she has this item. Well I hope she does ^_^

I miss them :)

REVIEW: Milea All Organics' CHOCOMINT MOISTURIZING BODY SCRUB

I love body scrubs.
I've tried almost all body scrubs that I can see at Watson's and the supermarket. That's why I do not hesitate to try any possible body scrubs that I can see.

Last summer, I bought this loot at Milea All Organics

I was so excited when my items were delivered. Except for the Charcoal Soap, it was my first time to try all of those. (I will do my best to write something for each item)

I just want to share how I love the Milea All Organics' CHOCOMINT MOISTURIZING BODY SCRUB.

THE PRODUCT
- It's an organic body scrub. (Milea All Organics is known for its natural and organic skin care products)
- Available at http://miletnbea.multiply.com.
- Price: 215 pesos - 110g

- INGREDIENTS: Dark Chocolate, Peppermint, Sunflower Oil, Vegetable Glycerine, Apricot Seeds and Vit. E

- Unlike other scrubs which are available in tubs, this one comes in a bottle. It actually looks like a shampoo-bottle container.

- This scrub is not too thick nor foamy in consistency. It's color brown and the scent is so chocolate-y.

- This scrub contains apricot seeds. For those with super sensitive skin, be careful when rubbing this to your skin. :)

Without flash

What can I say?
-It's actually a bit similar to other moisturizing body scrubs that you can find in the market. The good thing about this scrub is that it is ORGANIC (and it's Milea!) .It does not contain any chemical and harmful ingredients.

-The smell? AWESOME! I can really smell the chocolate (and you can definitely say that they used REAL CHOCOLATE on this scrub).

-Oh! Another thing, since the name of the body scrub is CHOCOMINT MOISTURIZING BODY SCRUB, lemme not forget the 'MINTY' effect. I enjoyed using this last summer because after applying the body scrub on your skin, you can immediately feel the cooling effect of the peppermint. It really feels refreshing especially if the weather is too hot.

-The moisturizing effect? My skin was moisturized and my skin really felt clean after using this.

- What I do not like: Since it comes in a thin shampoo-like container and the hole is a bit small, it is difficult to squeeze the body scrub. CHOCOMINT MOISTURIZING BODY SCRUB comes in a 300g tub and maybe I will purchase that next time.

Will I buy this again?
OF COURSE!

REVIEW: MISSHA M Signature Real Complete BB Cream SPF 25 PA++

My zits are popping out these days. I hate it. I am 25 and I thought that I would outgrow this pubescent nightmare. BUT NO!!!!!!!

That is why I splurge a lot on foundations and concealers.
Then came BB CREAMS!

I've heard about this 'wonder cream' two years ago.

The first one I've tried is the The Skin79 Hot Pink BB cream. The oil control was good but it was too light on my skin. I had to try other stuff till I found out about Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF42 PA+++.

The Skin79 Hot Pink BB cream

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF42 PA+++

I am supposed to do a review for Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream but I just found another recent discovery.
I am loving the MISSHA M Signature Real Complete BB Cream SPF 25 PA++.

I bought this again on Facebook. :)

Here is what I can say about the product.

THE PRODUCT:

- It is a BB cream. (BB stands for "Blemish Balm," "Beauty Balm" or "Beblesh Balm")

- THE PROMISES

- SHADES:
It comes in 2 shades:  No.21 (Light Pink Beige) and No.23 (Natural Yellow Beige)
But when I was checking out the infos on the net, they also have No.13 (Light Milk Beige). I guess this shade is not suited for Filipina skin.

- SIZE:
20 ml and 45 ml

REVIEW: Tony Moly Tony Tint - Red Apple and Cherry Pink

Last year, I have been hearing a lot from Tony Moly Tony Tint (another tongue twister!).
I am not a fan of tints since I have dry lips and most of the tints I've tried made my dry lips look awful.

I guess it was because of my in-born impulsive buying that I bought not one, but TWO Tony Moly Tony Tint.

This tint comes in two colors: Cherry Pink and Red Apple

THE PRODUCT:
- It's basically a lip tint.
- Comes in a trial size and a full size. I bought the full size (9ml) for PhP 250 at Han Ryu (this is my favorite online shop on Facebook). I think it's PhP 27o if you will buy it at Tony Moly store.
- It's watery.

REVIEW (updated): Etude House - Wonder Pore Clay Clear

Finally! I have visited Etude House in Robinson's Metroeast.

When I read a message posted by Etude House Philippines on its fan page in Facebook that their Robinson's Metroeast was already open, I literally had a big smile.

Yipee!

I went there today (Sunday, Aug 20) to check the items out.
This particular product caught my eye.

It's Etude's WONDER PORE CLAY CLEAR. (sounds like a tongue twister to me)

I got curious so I got immediately placed this in my basket. Besides, this is the first time that I would be using  a clay mask. ^_^

Wonder Pore Clay Clear (love the blue packaging)
THE PROMISES:
This product promises a '7-in-1' total pore solution.
1. Balance your skin's ideal pH level.
2. Refine skin tones.
3. Deep cleanse pores.
4. Minimize appearance of pores.
5. Control a large amount of sebum
6. Moisturize inside and outside of skin.

I am more interested on the pore-minimizing effect and the oil-control stuff they are promising. I have visible pores that can be seen from a mile.  And I have an oily skin which is so difficult to manage. I always get breakouts especially during my period so I hope this product would not make me look like a walking zit.

THE PRODUCT:
- Net wt. : 100g
- The clay is placed in a jar and the it comes with a spatula.
- PRICE: PhP 678

My love affair with Korean skincare products.

Jeez!
I am back for the nth time. :)
I love Korean skincare products. I love them ever since I got my Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream.

This is just a few skincare haul I purchased from an online shop in Facebook. If you wanna get authentic Korean skincare products and cosmetics, you can visit Han Ryu. The seller's so nice and very patient. :) Most of her items are pre-ordered. Do not hesitate to talk to her. She is so nice and accommodating. :)

I am not really into cosmetics (aside from lippies and lipstains) so most of the items I purchase are BB creams, facial scrubs, primers, blush-ons  and lipstains.

I just promised myself (for the nth time again) that I will continue writing this blog until I get sick and tired of promising myself that I would write a blog (not just once in a blue moon).
