REVIEW: TONYMOLY EXPERT TRIPLE BB CREAM

Ola!
It has been ages since I last posted a review here on this blog. Even my personal Tumblr blog went on a hiatus for the past five months!!

My work became a bit stressful and I had to adjust myself with the schedule so I had to put this blog on a rest for a while.
I promise to write whenever I have time. :)

*****************************************************************
Before the year ended last 2012, I bought a haul of on-sale items from my favorite Korean Cosmetics Online shop - HAN RYU

Instagram Photo. Sorry, the photo's not that clear.
I got a lot of freebies from this loot. :)
I actually bought the following:

Nature Republic Simple Making Gel Eyeliner 01 Black-PhP 245
Ecopure Hair Color Cream N10 - PhP 250
MIZON Snail Repair BB Cream - PhP 445Lioele Bubi bubi mascara 7g #4 Gorgeous Black - PhP 185Tonymoly Expert Triple BB Cream - PhP 595+ Vanedo Masks
1. Snail (3)
2. EGF (1)
3. Pomegranate (1)
4. coenzyme q10 (2)

PLUS! free samples (samples with the capital-S, my dear!) of SULWHASOO creams, serums and BB creams! (Hurray!)

But for today, I will be doing a review for Tonymoly Expert Triple BB Cream
Here's another BB CREAM review.

**************************************************************************

NAMETonymoly Expert Triple BB Cream SPF45. PA+++
It's a BB cream from Tonymoly (and this is my second Tonymoly BB cream - remember TonyMoly Luminous Goddess Aura BB Cream?)

Net. Wt: 50ml
Price: I got this for PhP 595 from Han Ryu.
            PhP 928  in Tonymoly stores
With: SPF 45+++

Product Description
After reading the product description from tonymoly.ph (the official website of Tonymoly Philippines), I got a slight headache.
Anyways, here's the official product description:

Expert triple BB cream SPF45PA+++ Diffused reflection makes prism effects under any lights, completes spotless shiny skin Expert 3D Collagen BB cream SPF40PA+++ Boosting Collagen synthesis effect helps skin reconstruction. Filling between the wrinkle

If that doesn't help, maybe this one will:

I don't have any idea what OPTICAL SENSORY POWDER means. Really.

Here's the rest of the product.

The packaging is a bit similar to Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream. It comes with a pump and a plastic cap.

THE TEST
Here's what we can see INSIDE the tube :) Sorry for my 'hairy' hand :)
Again, the photos are arranged according to the time I took them.

Consistency: Creamy.
Scent: The scent is somehow similar to the medical balms but it's very light and quite unnoticeable when applied.

SHADE: I was a bit disappointed when I first  saw the shade because it was too damn light for my skin. (My brain was shouting 'goodbye PhP500+!)

THE TEST!
These photos were taken at around February 2013 (and it's already April!) so I am so sorry if something looks strange on these photos (well, I feel something's strange here!)

The lest side shows the part of my face with Tonymoly Expert Triple BB Cream. The right side shows the part of my face WITHOUT the BB cream.
You can see that the shade is really lighter than my skin tone.

I hate this photo but I have to post it.

The following are the before and after photos.

It did cover some of my huge pores....

...but did nothing for my pimple scars.

I've noticed that this BB cream is REALLY creamy and has a thick consistency.
I could not apply it evenly on my skin and it kept on clumping.

And this is me with my whole face covered with TonyMoly Expert Triple BB Cream.

I am just glad that after a few minutes of applying the BB cream, it oxidized and somehow matched my skin tone.

WHAT CAN I SAY?

COVERAGE - MEDIUM to FULL coverage but I am not that satisfied with how the product 'clumps' on my skin.

SHADE - Too light for my skin tone and it takes time to oxidize (or to match with my skin color).

STAYING POWER - it lasted for around 4-6 hours.

OIL CONTROL - Not bad. During my 12-hour stay at work, I only blot 2-3 times.

A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY? Yes! 1 or 2 pumps is enough for your whole face.

SPF - With SPF45 +++, what more can I say?

What I don't like:

1. The 'heavy feeling' you get after applying the product.

2. The shade! My goodness it's too light. It takes a few minutes before the product matches your skin color but it does not look natural on my skin.
3. Expensive.

I might buy this if the price would drop to 80%. Unless that happens, I am still stick to my usual BB Creams.

    1. Hi! I am reading the ingredients now. It does not contain talc but unfortunately, it contains parabens specifically: PROPYLPARABEN and METHYLPARABEN.

  4. I also have this BB cream and I actually like it. It's what I usually use when going to school because it has a high spf. It's also cheaper compar to the other bb creams I have.
