REVIEW: ETUDE HOUSE: Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Cream

Thank God for Labor Day!
It's May 1st (as of this writing) and I am so glad to have had some time to sleep. I was waiting for this moment.

At least I had time to update this blog. I miss doing this.

*****************************************************************

This is my review for ETUDE HOUSE: Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Cream. I bought this months ago and I have been using this for quite some time. I was using Pond's Cold Cream as my make-up remover but I decided to try other make-up remover which doesn't have a very strong scent.

Name: ETUDE HOUSE: Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Cream
What's this? It's a cleansing cream / makeup and dirt remover.

Price: PhP 328 pesos at Etude House store in Robinson's Metroeast
Vol. 180 ml
Comes in a jar/tub

Product Description:
Here's the description from Etude House Philippines website:
Removes deeply embedded makeup and residues from pores for a deep cleanse.
And here's the description from the product label:
Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Cream is formulated with baking powder to gently exfoliate skin with a cream texture and penetrate pores to absorb oil and residues for a thorough cleanse.

How to use:

Apply cream to dry facial surface and massage until makeup is dissolved.Wipe off face with facial pad or tissues and wash with cleansing foam and water.

And this is what ETUDE HOUSE: Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Cream looks:

It comes in a big jar like this.

Good thing the description has an English translation.

And this is what we see inside:

TEXTURE is creamy and doesn't feel heavy like other creams.
ETUDE HOUSE: Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Cream has a lemon-y /citrus scent. For us who have a very sensitive olfactory sense (meaning you have the smelling ability of a greyhounds), the scent is not too strong and doesn't linger too long once you apply it on your face. (Clap clap clap!)

The cream also feels a bit oily and you might hesitate to use it. (Please don't ^_^)
And as you massage the cream on your face, you will notice that the cream will be a bit sticky .

I am a self-confessed BB cream addict. The only downside of using BB cream is that it is difficult to remove it on your face with just soap/facial wash and water. I had to use cold creams and all those makeup remover.

Here is my take on this product:

I love this because:
1. The scent is not too strong.
2. The cream is not too strong for sensitive skin. No dryness felt after using this product.
3. I haven't experiences any breakouts, itchiness and redness.
4. My skin FELT clean after using this.

Aside from  The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Cream and Pond's Cold Cream , I better add this item to my "must-have" make-up remover.

  3. Is it okay to use it everyday because I wear make up daily?? Based on the description it's a gentle exfoliator, exfoliating everyday is bad for the skin right?

    1. Hi! Thanks for reading my blog :)
Yes, I agree with you that exfoliating everyday is not good for the skin so I was quite hesitant to use this everyday. But I was wearing thick makeup everyday and this product did a good job removing all the makeup residue. I used it everyday and it did not dry my skin nor did I experience any breakouts (note: I have very very very oily skin). I suggest that if you have sensitive skin, you should try using it every other day or thrice a week. :)
