REVIEW: LIOELE BEYOND THE SOLUTION BB CREAM

OLA!!!
Here's another BB cream review that has been shelved for quite some time.

I guess by this time you already know how addicted I am to BB cream. Here's another addition to my 'most commonly used' BB cream collection.

This is my review for Lioele Beyond The Solution BB Cream

WARNING: Since I love taking photos (though the photos do not look good), I would like to warn you that this review contains a LOT of photos. :)

********************************************************************************

THE PRODUCT

- This is a BB Cream (Oh! how I love saying this!) from Lioele.
- Lioele has a lot of BB cream. I wanna try everything but Lioele Beyond The Solution BB Cream is on sale so I got this immediately from Han Ryu.
- In my opinion, LIOELE has the cutest BB cream packaging. I love the logo, the box and the COLOR.

- SIZE: 50ml

- PRICE: PhP 995 (LIOELE WEBSITE
PhP 600 (Han Ryu) <----- I got this on sale! How I love Ms. Grace (the owner) for reserving this item for me :)

- NOTE: No SPF (which I find it weird since most BB creams have SPFs)

My love affair with Corsets and Bustiers.

I was cleaning my closet 3 days ago when I've realized that I've got a load of corsets and bustiers. Jeez.

Most of my corsets and bustiers are still wrapped in plastic.

I haven't tried them all. I guess it's just plain addiction (similar to my swimsuit addiction).
But here are some of the bustiers/bustier dresses that I have already worn. These are also my personal favorites and I keep using them. :)

These are just the bustiers I've used (and still using). I guess they are my personal favorites.

********************************************************

This is my favorite bustier dress. It's made of cotton with a blue, jean-type color.

REVIEW: Etude House Hello Kitty Eau De Toilette

I got a package two weeks ago from a former student. There were a lot of cute things inside!

The box!

Just when I thought I love Lego...

I am not a big fan of Hello Kitty but when I saw these three small cute boxes, I had to reconsider.

Just look at these adorable babies!!

REVIEW: Etude House BAKING POWDER Pore Cleansing Foam

I admit that I am really lazy. Freakin' lazy. Although I religiously use cold creams and cleansing creams, there are times that I even feel so lazy to wash my face.

Good thing I have found this facial wash that I can use every time I am having one of those 'lazy-day' moments.

******************************************

I was so glad when I found out that Etude House opened a branch in Robinson's Metroeast (It's just a 10minute-ride from our house without traffic).

I immediately purchased one of my favorite Etude House item - Etude House BAKING POWDER Pore Cleansing Foam.

- I know that baking powder is used for baking (obviously), cleaning stuff like tiles and it's also used as a substitute for toothpaste but I never heard that it can also be used as a facial cleanser. Nevertheless, I tried this.

I tried this last year but I was too lazy to update my blogs (or even to write a blog). So here is my late review of this amazing facial wash.

******************************************

THE PRODUCT
-This is an Etude House Cleansing Foam,
- (I think Etude House has a complete line for this 'Baking Powder - brand')
- SIZE: I think it comes in a 30 ml trial size. I got the full size which is 170ml.
- PRICE: PhP 380

This is actually quite big (and heavy too!)

-I forgot to take a picture of the back part. The product description and directions are written in Korean but there is a very small (quite 'microscopic') English translation.

- This is the description according to Etude House's website (Philippines):
170ml Foam cleanser exfoliates with micro scrub beads to remove oil, dirt and residues for a pore deep cleanse.
Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam is formulated with baking powder and to gently exfoliate skin and penetrate pores for a thorough cleanse.
How to use:
Apply to wet face and lather.
Massage thoroughly and rinse with warm water.

Infront

- A small amount of this cleanser is enough to create a a lather that will cleanse your face (and for cheapskates like me, that is good news ^_^).

- SCENT: It has this not-so-strong lime scent. (don't worry, the scent is not too strong and it disappears once you have already created a lather.

- This facial wash is not that smooth and you will feel a bit of some rough stuff (but that 'rough stuff' I am talking about will not hurt your face. Actually, it's relaxing once you rub it on your face.)

MY TEST

- One thing I look for in a facial cleanser/foam is its ability to cleanse my face. The definition of 'cleanse' in MY vocabulary means removing all the dirt, bb creams and makeup on my face.

- This is how I test my facial cleansers/foams. When I get home from work, I do not use a cleansing cream or cold creams to remove any makeup on my face. I immediately use the facial cleanser / foam that I would test.
- Then I use a facial toner/cleanser to check if there are any residue/s left.

- This is MY TEST.

-For this test, I used a huge cotton ball and applied a facial cleanser/toner. Using only one side of the cotton ball, I wiped my face for five times. If you will notice, the cotton looks clean and no traces of makeup or bb cream can be seen.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS
- First, I love its cleansing power! Not even traces of stubborn BB cream! (and I really love it).
- I love that I only need a small amount to wash my whole face. It creates a rich lather that's enough to wash the face. (HOORAY!)
- Another thing, I did not experience any breakouts.
- This is a good facial wash for OILY skin.
- As a pore cleansing foam? - IT DID A GOOD JOB in cleansing my huge pores. About my blackheads (on my nose), I can still see some traces of blackheads but they're tolerable :)

WILL I BUY THIS AGAIN:
-Of COURSE! I am officially in-love with this :)

Upcoming Review: LUMINOUS GODDESS AURA BB CREAM from TonyMoly

Yesterday, our 'big boss' came from Korea with two paper bags from TonyMoly. Inside were boxes of BB creams (I guessed they've already smelled my addiction to BB creams).

This is LUMINOUS GODDESS AURA BB CREAM from TonyMoly. I've never tried a TonyMoly BB Cream so I was so lucky when I got this. I'll be doing a review on this soon. :)

REVIEW: Pond's Cold Cream - The Cool Classic

I ran out of The Face Shop's Herb Day Cleansing Cream last week and I did not have time to buy. I checked out the stuff I had and I found Pond's Cold Cream (The Cool Classic). With all the BB creams, foundation and concealers on my face, I was in dire need for a makeup remover.

I'll be doing a review for Pond's Cold Cream - The Cool Classic

I think every Filipina girl who were born during my time has one way or another tried a Pond's product (especially their facial wash!).

******************************************************

I have already said goodbye to this product when I was getting old (hmm.. not really old.. should I say 'when I was gaining years in my life'). So when someone gave me this  Pond's Cold Cream, I was not too excited to use it.

But since I had no choice, I had to use this last week. Here's my take on this:

THE PRODUCT
- It's a COLD CREAM CLEANSER. It's used as a make-up remover/skin cleanser.
- This cold cream is CLASSIC. It's not advertised that much compared to other skin care products that they Pond's have. It's a bit difficult to find this product in our local drugstores and supermarket. I tried looking for this last weekend to check the price but I couldn't one in Watson's near in our place.

- It comes in a jar.
-Net Weight: 6.1 OZ / 172g

REVIEW: Sulwhasoo First Care Serum

I was asking Ms. Grace (the owner of Han Ryu) last time about her thoughts on Snail Creams (another popular skin care trend in Korea these day) when she told me about the Korean brand SULWHASOO. I was already familiar with the brand because I got a free sample of a Sulwhasoo cream few years back.

Ms. Grace told me that she tried the sample of Sulwhasoo Serum and it worked for her. Today, I got a free sample of Sulwhasoo First Care Serum from her! Yehey!

Do you see it? :)

Here's the product description from the website

Formulated with Korean medicinal herbs, this essential regimen boosting serum assures optimal skin care results, promoting balance and replenishing essential moisture and nutrients.

- Membranous Milkvetch promotes natural skin circulation and Dwarf Lilyturf and Licorice boost synergy among herbal extracts to restore skin’s natural healthy radiance.

- Absorbing instantly and deep within the skin, this serum leaves the skin soft, smooth and supple, prepares skin to receive treatment and boosts the efficacy of skin care used throughout the regimen.

How to use: After facial wash in the morning and evening, pump 2~3 times onto palm and apply with fingertips. Gently wrap the face with hands to help absorption of the product..

The PRICE: I don't have any idea about the price of this product. I cannot find a shop in ebay.ph or Multiply that sells this serum in full size.

Size:  The full size is 6oml while the trial size that is 8ml.

This is the sample size. It's actually quite cute.

This is the back portion of the sample. The description is written in Korean.

It also comes in a container with a pump :)

SERUM vs. CREAM:
- In my opinion, serums are much better than creams. From what I had read before, serums  are easily absorbed by the skin. Also, the nutrients in the serum deeply penetrates into the skin because serums have smaller molecules compared to creams. But, if you are more comfortable with creams, no need to rush off to buy a serum.

THE APPLICATION:
-This is not my first time to use a serum but I am honestly more comfortable in using creams. But since I have heard a lot from this product, I'll be ditching my night cream for a while to try this.

- THE SCENT: If you are not fond of the anything that smells like herbs, I think this is not for you. This product has a not-to-strong herbal scent. I personally think that the smell is tolerable. DO NOT FRET if you are worried about the smell. Once you have applied the serum on your skin, the smell goes away.

- THE CONSISTENCY: Since this is a serum, it's a bit water-y or runny.

- I was kinda worried with the color since the color is similar to the tea I am drinking.

- It is easy to apply on your skin. But you have to spread it fast it dries fast too. I dunno if it dries fast because it really dries fast or it the serum is absorbed by the skin.

- I have a lot of dark spots on my skin and I still have problems with ZITS.
- My age is also catching up with me so I am also starting to see fine lines (OH NO!)

I will be giving my updates about this product. Lemme see if it's worth the expensive price :)

UPDATE:
- Today is September 19.
- This is my 3rd day of using this product. I have noticed that my pimples are getting smaller and less red. (I am amazed because I have my period this week. I would normally have around 2-3 zits whenever I have my period.)

My Verdict:
Good points:
1. It made my pimples small the redness subsided.
2. It made my dull skin look healthy.
3.  It somehow made my skin tone even.

I guess if I continued this regimen, I would also experience what others are raving out about this product. But the big problem is, this is way too expensive for a cheapskate like me. :/

Anyways, I am happy to experience the effect of this product. Will I buy this in full size? I am not quite sure since there are other skin care product that has the same effect but cheaper. :)

I already got my orders from Han Ryu  this afternoon.

Whenever I see a blue plastic bag like this, I get so excited!

I love tearing these bubble wraps like a kid :)

REVIEW: Milea's All Organics' Goat's Milk Honey Oatmeal Body Scrub

This is already a late review for one of my favorite body scrubs. :(

In my previous post, I mentioned about the product I got from Milea All Organics. One of the products really recommend is the Milea's All Organics' Goat's Milk Honey Oatmeal Body Scrub.

********************************************************

Before I tried this product, I never bought any skin care products that has the word 'OATMEAL' on it. I've tried a lot of products before claiming that theirs had 'more' oatmeal compared to others. But upon purchasing and using the products, I can't even smell the oatmeal. Most soaps only had a pinch of oatmeal that you can barely see the 'oatmeal' in it.

But when I was checking out the website of Milea, I decided to give their  Goat's Milk Honey Oatmeal Body Scrub a try.

Here is my take on this product.

********************************************************

THE PRODUCT
- It's an organic body scrub. (The label says it's an INTENSIVE CARE BODY SCRUB)

- Price: 240 pesos - 130g

- INGREDIENTS: Goat's Milk, Wild Honey, Oatmeal, Virgin Coconut Oil, Apricot Seeds, Vitamin E, Vegetable Glycerine

- Like the Chocomint Body Scrub, it also comes in a shampoo-like container. Forgive me for not having a full-size photo of this.

- Here is my favorite part:

Random Thoughts: A busy week. - Ridiculous Ideas this week.

I think I've been on a hiatus for a week because of our internet connection  (our antenna was not working according to the SmartBro) and we were so busy at the office (I have a ton of pending work).

Anyways,  I have so many things to review, to rant and ridiculous ideas to share.

First, we will be transferring our office from 17th floor to 33rd floor. It's really crazy because I've never worked in an office place located above 25th floor (is my grammar even correct?)

So when I visited the place after work, I almost puked.

I am also starting to have separation anxiety from my prison-sized workstation. I started to love my workstation located just beside the wall. on my left side is an empty workstation (which served as my kitchen/cupboard/warehouse).

I just hope that I'll fall in love with my new place on 33rd floor. :)
These are my things. I don't even know how they all fit inside my prison-sized workstation.

Oh! I am going to miss this place..

*************************************************************

I have already complained so many times about my camera.
This year, I won a bidding in Ebay. I was able to get HP S300 for only 3000pesos. I am such a freaking cheapskate that I did not even check the reviews for this camera.

Honestly, it captured BAD photos.
First, although it's a 14.2 mp digital camera, it produced blurry photos.
Second, it had a lot of noise (those spotty areas - jeez, I am so sorry I cannot describe it.)
Third, the colors are not vivid. Argh, since I cannot explain it, I have to write a separate blog about it.

But to give you a sample.. I want to show you 'bad' it is.

This photo is take using my Samsung Galaxy W phone which is just 5mp.

This photo was taken using HP S300 digital camera.

Hopefully, I can find a cheaper digital camera which I can use for blogging.

***********************************************************************

I am really starting to miss my boyfriend. :(
As cheesy as it might sound.. I miss hugging him. :(

***********************************************************************

Hmmm. Anyways.. I hope I could get my hands on the items that I ordered from my favorite Korean cosmetics online shop - HAN RYU
How I love the seller (Ms. Grace) for accommodating my orders and even giving me a sample size of SULWHASOO cream. She said it's effective in reducing fine lines and it gives your skin a healthy glow. (I am so excited for it. I hope it would work for me. And I hope my wallet gets excited too when I already have the price for the full-sized bottle.)

***********************************************************************

Well.. I hope everything goes well next week. :)

REVIEW: Lioele Aroma Soft Peeling Gel

I know this is bad. I am so obsessed with keeping my face clean and pimple-free that I use a lot of skin care products for my face.

Last year, I got a sample from one of the online sellers in ebay.ph. She gave me a sample of Lioele Aroma Soft Peeling Gel. I was so curious about this product that I had to search on the internet how to use it.

To make the story short, I ordered a full sized 120ml plastic tube from Han Ryu. I totally forgot the price of this (but do not hesitate to go to Han Ryu's Facebook page and ask her - the seller's really nice!)

********************************************************************

THE PRODUCT

- It's a peeling gel.

Let us have a short class on PEELING GELS.

A peeling gel is meant to exfoliate the skin. It is designed to unclog pores and remove dead skin cells. A lot of brands like SkinFood, Lioele, Laneige and Missha have their own version of peeling gels.
I am not a geek so I'll be asking help from Google. I found this site that can easily explain what a peeling gel is:

These cleaning compounds may include abrasive granules such as pulverized lava, jojoba beads, or ground grape seeds. The abrasive granules exfoliate skin by acting as a form of sandpaper, scrubbing off dead or loose skin cells. The addition of an alpha hydroxy acid, such as glycolic, citric, or lactic acid, aids in this process by reducing cell adhesion and allowing for easier removal. Fruits such as oranges and papayas contain natural alpha hydroxy acids. Hyaluronic acid is another common ingredient of peeling gels that improves the texture of the skin by increasing hydration.

- Lioele Aroma Soft Peeling Gel comes in a 120ml plastic tube.

- I couldn't find this product in Lioele's Philippine website. But I found a site that could help me in giving you more information about the product.

Details:
This product controls dead skin cell and impurities of skin effectively by including natural cellulose which is organic pealing substance. It helps to speed-up the skin turnover cycle to make your skin clean and healthy. It also includes Vitamin A and E to promote skin softness.

How to Use:
1. Apply Aroma Soft Peeling Gel to face after shower or after cleansing face.2. Gently massage into face and let dry.3. After 10 minutes, rinse face with water.4. Gently dry face with soft towel.

- The front part of the plastic tube has an English description.

I had to edit this picture so that the description can be read. The description is written in white.

- The back part has no English description. (Oh, by the way, Lioele is a Korean brand)

My favorite part is the LOGO. :)

Here's the top part.
-This is my first peeling gel so I do not have any point of comparison.
-Well, it looks like an ordinary cream but the texture is a bit rough (you can feel something rough once you try to rub it on your skin)
- But fear not! When I said 'rough', it's not like the 'salt-type' kind of rough. Keep reading and you will know why :)

- The smell: Actually, it smells like a toner.

- The INGREDIENTS:

Water, Cellulose, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Betaine, Betyl Ethylhexanoate, Phenoxyethanol, Carboxymethyl Chitosan Succinamide, Carbomer, Arginine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Methylparaben, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, PVM/MA Copolymer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Fragrance, Sodium Hyluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate

THE APPLICATION
-How to use:
Apply Aroma soft peeling gel to face after cleansing faceGently massage into face and let it dryAfter 10 minutes, rinse face with waterGently dry face with soft towel

- Here's my face before rubbing the product:

Looks oily but it isn't
- Yes, we have to rub product on our face. The instruction says: MASSAGE (I'd better be nice to my face)

My face already looks yucky.

Look  at those nasty blackheads on my nose!

- After massaging Lioele Aroma Soft Peeling Gel on my face, these white stuff would form. I guess this is the ingredient that exfoliates your skin.

-For those with sensitive skin, do not fret. Once you have massaged the product on your face, you will not even notice the 'rough' texture of the gel. It definitely slides on your skin as you massage your face.

- I did not feel any 'sting' from the product. (But there as a time that I forgot to rinse off after  10 minutes - I think it took 30 minutes and a 'sting' feeling for me to remember that I had this on my face.)

- It's not sticky. No itchy feeling.

It looks icky but it's tolerable :)

- AFTER THE APPLICATION
- When I first tried this, I did not appreciate the product. Most of my blackheads were still visible. But my skin became felt softer. Although it contained alcohol, my skin did not become dry.
- I decided to give this a shot since I already bought the full-size tube and I do not want my money to go to waste.
- I use this product twice a week and I've noticed that my skin was much cleaner and my blackheads were lessened.
- My skin became softer and clean.

WHAT CAN I SAY
I love this product because:
- It did not give me any BREAKOUTS (no pimple/zit experienced after trying this product)
-Although it says 'peeling', I did not feel any harsh effect or sting-y feeling while using this.
- It did not make my blackheads disappear but at least they were lessened.
- It did not dry my skin. Instead, my skin felt softer after using the product.
- It really cleans my face.

The CONS:
-It is not locally available. I was checking out on Lioele Philippines if they sell this locally. Unfortunately, I could not find it. (good thing I am in-love with Han Ryu ^_^)
- It smells like a toner. It's tolerable but it makes you a bit scared to try this because of the alcohol content.)

Will I still buy this?
- Yes. BUT, since this is my first peeling gel, might as well try other peeling gels. Maybe they work better than this :)
